The shoe, which has been commissioned by Tesco, who sponsor the Race for Life, is part of the superstore's biggest national fundraising initiative and is collecting donations and signatures as it travels around the UK.

Yesterday, it was at the Tesco Air max 97 store in the Eastgate retail park off the M32 and weighing in at 150 kilograms, it wasn't going anywhere else fast.

This year's Race for Life in Bristol is on Saturday, June 12, and Sunday June 13, at 11am on the Downs. The Weston event will be on Sunday, May 23, at 10am.
