Waikato's top residential real estate agent is putting his success down to a philosophy of "walking in the shoes" of home buyers.

Glenn Collins, from Lodge Real Estate, received the award at the annual Waikato Times Real Estate Awards at Hamilton's Clarence St Theatre on Friday night. He was also named the top residential salesperson for populations more than 70,000 for the third year in a row.

"It's all about being up Air rift front and honest with people from the word go," said Mr Collins, who has been involved in real estate for seven years.

The 39-year-old, who also credits his partner and fellow Lodge agent Sonia Christison for his success, said it was a pleasure for him to be involved in the real estate business, a role thar enabled him to meet people at "very important moments of their lives". jordan shoes

"You meet so many different people from so many walks of life. I just really enjoy helping people out," he said.

"We're doing it all the time and polo shirts you've got to catch yourself sometimes and say 'this is a big part of their lives'."

Shaun Cosgrave, recently named Harcourt's top NZ rural sales consultant for the second year in a row, was named the top lifestyle salesperson at the awards.
